Consulting: Process Improvement

Deployment Planning

Mid-AtlantiCare ensures that your implementation is structured to create results. We have found that organizations that provide elaborate training but do not build the necessary structure, fail to achieve the sustainable bottom-line results necessary to improve performance and retain management’s commitment. Taking the time up-front to plan the implementation will help ensure success.

Discovery System

Our Design/Implementation Team approach ensures that you develop the necessary sponsors up-front and that existing programs and implementations are taken into account as the new effort is undertaken.

You have a management system in place and that system drives the results you are currently achieving. Through the initial Design and Implementation Team workshop we assist your organization to determine how the current system fits the new model and what needs to be done to ensure that the new implementation will be successful.

Leveraging our templates, we assist your team of representatives from key departments (example: Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Marketing) to write the script for the change and obtain approval for the implementation from the executive team.

The key elements addressed during the Initialization process include:

Deployment Management

Plan – Implement – Analyze – Improve “Insure your success”

A Deployment Management engagement from Mid-AtlantiCare is a combination of workshops and on-site support sessions that is designed to focus your initiative and keep it on track to deliver results.

  1. During the Plan phase - a two-day workshop prior to beginning the deployment – Mid-AtlantiCare helps you to define your desired business results and establish the customer-driven initiatives that will shape your initial deployment objectives.
  2. Implement is a one-day workshop (in Six Sigma - between the Measure and Analyze training phases) that allows for an early measurement of results against expectations. If the project results are not meeting expectations, using our experience with deployments will help you to get back on track.
  3. The Analyze offering is one day of on-site support (in six Sigma - between the Implement and Control phases of training) during which we will help identify strengths and weaknesses.
  4. Finally, Improve is a one-day workshop that will help you to redirect your resources and adjust your deployment initiatives according to the results of your initial projects.

These five days, spread out over the scope of your deployment, have been designed to provide you with a maximum amount of experienced support – and with the greatest possible chance of success.

Other flexible deployment support, tailored to your business needs are also available.

Rent-A-Black Belt (Master Black Belt)

We can provide Mid-AtlantiCare resources to lead, or co-lead, projects and deliver rapid results.

Our proven program:

Upon achieving satisfactory results, a Project Case Study Report is prepared by Mid-AtlantiCare and presented and reviewed with the Champion and Project Team Members.

Mentoring Support

Are you getting the most from your Six Sigma resources? How many projects are your trained Belts doing per year after they have completed training? In order to maximize your investment, your belts must continue to do projects at a reduced cycle time. If not, your training expense was just an academic exercise.

Mid-AtlantiCare’s Master Black Belts will quickly assess your resource pool, generate and lead a plan to optimize your investment. In this mentoring role we are an extension of your organization and will assist your belts and champions in project definition and tool usage resulting in a higher number of successfully completed projects.

Lean Facilitation

Lean overview for the leadership team is designed to create general understanding of the executive's role in the Lean implementation process.

Organizations striving to be world-class operate on a cost reduction principle that states the only way to achieve targeted margins and reduce customer churn is to provide a high quality product or service to customers for a price they are willing to pay. Lean concepts equip an organization with a set of tools focused on elimination of waste and maximizing flow.

Lean philosophy focuses on the speed of a process, the value of the process steps and the flow of item (product or service) through that process.

A review of the key purposes within Lean methods are discussed along with options for an implementation roadmap for both a services and manufacturing environment.

LEAN . . . Streamlines processes and eliminates unnecessary, time-consuming steps (waste), reduces overall complexity, and helps to uncover critical to quality elements of a process
